Maryanne Nasiatka is a researcher, freelance writer, and
photographer based in Plymouth, Michigan.
Maryanne researches legislative, political and business
topics for clients - including large corporations, trade
associations, and authors at major publishing houses. As an
information professional she has access to private online
data bases as well as statutes, administrative rules and
court and agency decisions for all 50 state jurisdictions,
the District of Columbia, and the federal government.
Her articles on business, technology, travel, and good food
and drink have been published in print, on the web, in
e-books interactive media and in private industry. Among
her long list of accomplishments, The Oxford University
Press selected Maryanne as a contributor to its
Encyclopedia of American Food and Drink in
America, published in 2004.
Maryanne and
Paul Ruschmann are the co-authors of
Michigan
Breweries, a travel guide to Michigan
breweries and their products. It's published by
Stackpole Books, and hit the shelves in September 2006.
Her
most recent manuscript, again teaming with co-author Paul
Ruschmann, is part of Chelsea House Publishers'
"Point/Counterpoint" series, aimed at high school and
college students who are interested in debate. Entitled
"Private Property
Rights," the book was released in
June 2007.
